Women's Department

The City of Refuge Women’s Department acts as an arm of the ministry geared specifically to meet both the spiritual and natural needs of the women at The City. Through capable leadership that is empowered by our first lady, the Women’s Departments endeavor is to be great examples of Godly women. The Women’s Department engages in programs and activities during the course of the year that promote unity, fellowship, excellence and edification. From women’s conferences to fellowships, the aim is always to inspire and encourage women to achieve excellence in a manner that glorifies God. The environment promoted within the department, is one that allows and cultivates spiritual growth and speaks directly to the heart of women.

The Women’s Fellowship provides multiple opportunities for you to connect with a variety of women spiritually, emotionally and socially as we grow in Christ and with each other.

This event is held annually and is designed to provide an opportunity to assist in the development of Godly women.

Comprised of credential holders of the church, their purpose is to organize and equip these licensed evangelist for service in the church and the community.

Missionary Circle

The purpose of this board is to mentor, motivate, instruct, and train the people in spiritual matters as well as etiquette within and outside of the church. It is comprised of spiritually mature- seasoned women.

Elders and Minister Wives Club

The spouses of members of the clergy are the members of this group. They assist their spouses as they work in this part of God's vineyard.

Deacons Wives

Elders and Minister Wives Club

The wives of our Deacons make up this membership. They work with tasks as needed to assist their spouses in ministry.

Hospitality

Singles Ministry

The aim of Hospitality is to make every effort to accommodate and make all guests comfortable that may come to The City and also practice this hospitality within the membership of the church.

Singles Ministry

Led by the 1st lady, this ministry is geared for single women ages 18-49. It is to encourage and help strengthen single women and to stress the importance of taking advantage of this time that they have with God.

Ushers/ Greeters

Designed as a sisterhood of women with a heart for leadership and established for the purpose of supporting 1st Lady. The aim is to serve, uplift, and encourage1st Lady in the same manner as she encourages those she encounters.

Aspiring Missionary

Ushers/ Greeters

The ushers are the door keepers in the house of the Lord. Along with our Greeters, they provide to the needs of congregants, their comfort, and ensure compliance with safety practices upon entering the sanctuary.

Aspiring Missionary

The Aspiring Missionary is a woman who is saved and filled with the Holy Ghost and feels a special call of God in her life for a higher ministry. She can be any adult age. She must be godly concerned about soul winning, faithful in prayer, and apt to teach.

The goal of this ministry is to assist young married couples and adults who are preparing for marriage to biblically address their daily living needs and issues. To provide meaningful fellowship opportunities for young couples and marriage-ready singles in the Church.

Christian Women's Council

Christ, Coffee, and Conversation

CWC is to educate principals and practices of holiness and saintly living to women. It seeks to address concerns which include: home building, meal planning, finding a mate, parenting, child care and development, understanding teenagers, marital issues, etc.

Created to provide an occasion where young women ages 18-30 can connect with God and with one another. We want to encourage and empower young women to walk in freedom and their true identities–living loved, inspired, and victorious lives! We gather and explore topics relevant to women in this age group- anxiety and depression, body image, dating, heartbreak, living holy, and more.
